FAQ

1) How clean does the floor need to be prior to applying the DuraStripe?
A clean floor surface is cruicial as you do not want to apply the DuraStripe onto old paint or tape residue.  For maximum durability and a proper application, the DuraStripe needs to be stuck to the floor directly.  Trapped dirt or old residue only creates a larger possibility of a failed application, which is what you are trying to avoid in the first place.

2) How long will the DuraStripe maintain its color?
The color is embedded into the material, therefore there is not fading nor scraping of the color from the surface of the mat.  When the surface of the DuraStripe gets dirty, it can easily be cleaned with soap and water.  For harder skid marks, a little bit of acetone will do the job.  The color will be just as crisp and clear as when initially applied.

3) What do you recommend we clean the floor with prior to applying the DuraStripe?
It is very important to use low-chlorine based or chlorine-free cleaners.  Reason: chlorine tends to leave a haze on the floor which can prevent the adhesive from sticking properly to the floor.  One such recommended product is ‘Simple Green’.

4) Are the rolls of DuraStripe available in custom colors?
Although it is difficult for us to created precisely the color requested, we can create them to the closest resemblance possible.  However, there is a minimum quantity requirement of 170 rolls, and an initial custom color set up fee.
